apparently not! i looked at their safety info and i didn't do anything out of the ordinary. i was very lucky i hadn't opened it yet. shards would have flown at me and very cut and burn me badly. be careful, ladies!

check the garbage disposal. If its clogged up, it can smell like a dead body. For reals. You can put some chopped up lemon or limes (smaller pieces!) into the disposal and grind them up. The rind will hopefully loosen the clog and the citrus will try to dispel the nasty smell. GL!
