I just went to the bathroom and someone was in the stall next to me. As I was about to flush I realized she was on the phone with someone. I flushed anyway because I figure she is the one who decided to have a conversation in the bathroom instead of in an empty conference room, so I assume whoever she is on the phone with is someone who she doesn't mind explaining the background noise to. What do you think?? I feel awkward about it but what else could I have done?
Re: awkward
i would have totally done the same. i think its a little weird when people are on the phone in any bathroom nevermind a public one. what else were you going to do? you kinda need to flush... she doesn't need to be on the phone in there.
I don't think you are the one who should feel awkward...
Really... your call was so important that it couldn't wait until you took care of business? Or just excuse yourself and say... Let me call you back in a few moments.
What else could you have done?
Serves her right for using her cell phone in a public restroom. I once heard a comedian talk about privacy and public... the line she used was... "Your privacy is disturbing my public." I think this is a great example of that.
While I'm at it... I hate people who try to check out, anywhere, while they are on the phone, but that's not really related to the topic at hand.
Oh I do too. It is so rude.
This is a big pet peeve of mine which is why I super love self-checkout
