Jag's or other steak houses?
How is Jag's? Has anyone been to the Friday night happy hour? Any good, or just a bunch of drunk single yuppies trying to hook up? Has anyone done their prix fixe menu? Or other good steak places with prix fixe menus?

We've been to Jag's several times - both for prix fixe during Restaurant Week and other times - we've always left happy. We've not done the bar thing there though - we've always had reservations and went straight to the table.
I know they have a dinner for two special price running through tomorrow night and if we weren't laying tile in our kitchen, we'd probably be running up there (very far out of our way) to go.

This. We had the house salad, lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, and filet mignons. They were nom nom!

I personally love Jag's and have been there about 5-7 times. I've been to their Friday night happy hour twice- it was fun, and the food was good, but it's also been about 3 years since I've been there for happy hour. It was definitely more upscale in that I saw mostly people in their business attire, but we weren't that dressed up and didn't feel like we didn't belong there. We just wore nice casual clothes.
I haven't done their prie fixe menu- it is worth the splurge there though.Yum.
