Morning: Hurricane Watch is On!

We're under an official tropical storm warning as of yesterday evening.  They're anticipating Earl will hit off the coast of the Outer Banks around 2am tomorrow morning.  From the current path this morning, it looks like he's turning west back out to the atlantic so we shouldn't get too hard of a hit.  The rain would be nice though!

I know the New England states are also bracing for his impact.  I hope Earl loses some strength and isn't a Cat 4 when he hits!

And in the possibility of our base flooding and closing I got a pumpkin spice latte this morning instead of tomorrow (when I usually treat myself).

Re: Morning: Hurricane Watch is On!

  • Yeah, I am like oblivious to stuff anymore, I didn't know about Earl until like Tuesday! We have to go to Delaware for a baby shower on Sunday (near Dewey Beach) so I hope he doesn't mess that up!

    Enjoy your latte!

  • Morning!  I'll be dealing with Earl Saturday morning.  DH and I are heading to my parents house in Maine.  Driving right up the coast of NH and ME Saturday morning.  It will be fun.  I heard Earl is supposedly going to strengthen before hitting New England.  That will be fun.  I am really looking forward to going to my favorite spot on the ocean and watch the waves crash on the rocks Saturday afternoon.  I always loved doing that as a kid when a hurricane was coming up the coast.  Doesn't matter how rainy or windy it is, as long as the roads are open I will be there.

    That sounds like fun!

I haven't been keeping track of it, but I'm pretty sure it's not getting to Albany. It's a great reason to stop my mom from asking if we'll visit Boston for Labor Day, though!
