Labor day weekend plans?

Hey guys! What does everyone have planned for the long weekend? We are staying in town but want a fun filled weekend, what are you guys doing? Any ideas??

 Thanks :)

Re: Labor day weekend plans?

  • Our plan is to work on the house.  We are listing it for sale in January and we have a lot of little things that we want to get done before then like painting, organizing, donating/selling/throwing away stuff we don't need, etc.  We both also have homework to get done, so it will be interesting to see what gets done. Stick out tongue

  • Its our anniversary this weekend (9/6) so we are still trying to figure out which night to go out and where to go. Anyone have any ideas? The only food we don't like is seafood.

  • Allison - thought about JR's table - I hear its fabulous. We are going next week for our anniv.

As for weekend plans - spending time with our families. we dont get to see them too often, so Saturday with MIL and Sunday -Monday with my family. (I have a huge family so this is necessary).

  • Grout.

Grout under my nails. Grout in my hair. Probably sneezing grout.

We're redo-ing our kitchen completely - think tearing out plaster and putting in new sub-floor kind of re-do. We should be laying tile Friday, so grouting over the weekend is most likely the plan.

If JR's table is the new place by Vine & 7th - we stopped in last night after seeing Much Ado About Nothing at Cincy Shakespeare Festival, and it was FABULOUS! JR even came out at the end of our meal and introduced himself & bought us 2 glasses of champagne when he heard it was our anniversary. FWIW - I HIGHLY recommend Much Ado too. It was abso-fricken-hysterical! If this crew can not get you to like some Shakespeare by doing a 1960's Commune version of it, there is something wrong with you. We laughed as hard as I think I have recently.

  • no freaking idea...but somehow I MUST celebrate my promotion :D
