Anybody in the hurricane's path?

Up here in CT looks like we might get hit with the tailend - starting tomorrow. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow night so hoping the weather's not too crappy!!

  • We're going to be getting rain tomorrow, like lots of it. And i think i read somewhere that we could have up to 35 mph winds.

  • See! This is why I like the West coast. We don't get this shiit over here. We get some earthquakes and that's about it.

And H wants to live east coast where there's hurricanes and tornadoes and all that. He'll deploy and be gone! And me? I'll be sitting in my bath tub with a flashlight and furbabies crying because I have no clue WTF is happening.

    :/

  • I'm on the east end of Long Island, we're in a tropical storm warning, but we'll see what comes. It could swing out and totally miss us, or we could get slammed....I thought I was getting away from this when I moved away from Florida, lol...
  • We're in CT too and it looks like it might hit around 3pm...school dismissal time yuck!

  • It's supposed to hit landfall here.  By the time it gets to us, it'll be 8am Sat and will hopefully be downgraded to a tropical storm.  The last time a Category 1 hit my province,  it was Juan 7 years ago and it was the worst we had ever had.  We're prepared though with our canned food, bottled water and full propane tank.  Juan made parts of the city have no power for a week, so it taught a lot of us how bad things can really be.

  • Same as everyone in CT and MA... i live on the shore of CT... fun fun. Looks like it will miss New england though... we'll just get heavy rain  and strong winds.

  • I am in eastern MA so it looks like we will be getting rain and wind, but not too bad. The only bad part is that I'm fostering a puppy for the night so it will probably be down pouring as I try to get it to pee outside.
  • imagelburkey21:
    up to 35 mph winds.

This wouldn't even be mentioned in the forecast out here.  That would be consisdered a calm day, especially for the fall!
