What should I charge?
A friend of mine has lost a significant amount of weight and recently she had bought some stuff and then lost more weight. She asked me to alter some clothes for her since I am decent at sewing.
She has kind of offered to pay but I have no idea what to charge. I am doing it because she's a friend. But I have driven out of my way as she lives 25 minutes away to drop off her altered clothes. So far I have altered two sundresses and a pair of capris and I am going to do another dress. I have spent about an hour or so on the three pieces and will spent probably another 30 minutes on this other dress.
Any ideas?

Maybe, instead of money, you could ask her to return a favour for you?
e.g. If she is a good cook, ask her to make you a few meals, or maybe she could help you with painting or gardening.
Personally, I would ask her to pay me in wine.
Thanks ladies! I agree she should pay me. Unfortunately she doesn't have good taste in wine, and I'm almost certain that if she promised to help me with something around the house it wouldn't happen. But with other friends that could totally works.
I might tell her roughly what amount of time I spent on her stuff and/or roughly what seamstresses charge and let her decide.
