Does anyone have a dentist in York that they like? I am not crazy about mine and I am tired of driving to Harrisburg.
Re: Dentists - York
I use Belmont Dental off of East Market St. It is by the corner of Market and 24. I *LOVE* them. I have a mega-phobia of dentists and they have been great with me (I had to have a lot of work done when I started going again, so I really experienced their services, haha).
The one problem with them is that they aren't in-network for a lot of insurances, but that hasn't been terrible. The only difference is you pay ahead of time and they work everything out with your insurance and about a week or two later you get a check paying you back for what your insurance covers. It hasn't been an issue at all for me. They do all of the work with insurance. Depending on your insurance, they sometimes only make you pay what they think you are going to have to pay. I don't like that because you could get a bill later if they estimated wrong. Plus, it confused our insurance and they sent us the check instead of them, so we just paid them when the check arrived. It really is not a major issue. EVERYONE is great and understanding and very patient there.
A friend of mine uses West York Dental (I think that is what it is called) and she really liked it too.
I know what you mean about driving. I had mine in Lancaster and I hated them, so to drive to Lancaster to go to a dentist I didn't like really wasn't working. I ended up not going for a while and then when I had a problem I had to find someone to go to.
Good luck!
DH and I see Dr. Ferencz on Pennsylvania Ave off Rt. 30. We have seen him for 6-7 years. He's in practice with another dentist, Dr. Kraft.
We really like his office. They are a small practice and they all know us when we come in. Very friendly. I think they accept most dental insurances.
I've had lots of dental work there over the years. When I first went there I had bad teeth. I've had caps and a crown put on my teeth there and they did a great job.
