Davis' clothing

This kid, he is so tall and so skinny.  He can still wear 12 month shirt and he wears 18 month too.  He still can wear 12 month pants, but they only fit him in the waist, not the length.  He needs 24 month for length which are huge around the waist, they don't even stay up.  I tried 18  month pants and they are just right in length, but I'm sure will be outgrown in length soon, but still don't fit in the waist, he is too skinny.

I'm going to end up having to get out the sewing machine and taking the 18 and 24 month pants in at the waist.  LOL

He has some 12 month shorts that don't even fit him in the waist.

Re: Davis' clothing

  • Do you have any pants with adjustable waists? Crazy 8 has some decent jeans that are adjustable and those are the only ones Charlie can wear. He's still wearing 12M shorts, but he obviously can't wear 12M pants.

Old Navy has a few styles, too, but I haven't tried them out yet.

  • someone posted about these on 12-24 the other day http://www.amazon.com/Dapper-Snapper-Toddler-Adjustable-White/dp/B0039C6IXY

it's a toddler belt that just goes through some of the back loops to help those skinny kids with pants that fall down. I'm seriously considering buying one of these.

There is no way Jake could wear anything 12 month size anymore. He's in that area right now where most 18 mo. stuff is too small, but 24 mo. stuff is just a little big still. Jake seems to do ok in 18-24 pants from Old Navy, they are perfect in length right now, a little loose around the waist, but they don't fall down. He can't wear Carter's 24 mo. pants they just fall right down. You should try Gymboree jeans for Davis if you haven't, they work well for Jake who is long and skinny and he can wear the 18-24 mo. no problem and they don't slide down. We get the ones that have the elastic waist with no button/zipper.

  • I bought some Gymboree 18-24 month pants on Ebay, brand new, they fit, for now and are pretty good in the waist, but length is iffy, I won't be surprised if they look like high waters by the time fall is over.  He is gonna be in gymbroee 2T pants.  He can wear Gap Baby 18-24 months, a little big in the waist but not horrible.  I will have to try the Crazy 8 Jene, but we don't have store here, I"ll have to order online.

I do find it depends on the brand.  I'm gonna be so sad when summer is over because 12 month shorts fit so well.  This pant thing is gonna suck.  Too bad they don't sell slim jeans for skinny kids, haha.

  • I learned that lesson the hard way too last year.  I buy the adjustable waists at Target by Oshgosh.  Anytime they are on clearance I scoop them up.  I like them too b/c they offer shorts and pants with the adjustable waists.
