WTF Thursday - I know I'm a day late
But I needed to vent...
My $4 Jimmy Johns sandwich - which I had to have even though the closest one is 10 miles from work - turned into a $194 speeding ticket because some stupid cop pulled me over for going 80 in a 55 (combination of just reduced speed zone plus me hurrying to beat the semi to the exit). Now I have to go to f-ing traffic school so I dont end up with points and higher insurance costs too.

I found out today that all of the team leaders in my office had a big pow wow, in which I've been assigned new priorities and duties (which I vehemently don't want). All of the team leads had meetings with their teams to discuss said meeting. But as I'm not a team member (just a temp!) nobody met with me to discuss the meeting. The last temp to get hired on permanently shared the info regarding me or else I wouldn't know at all. I am beyond livid. I've gone from loving this job to loathing over the last two weeks because of the bullsh!t they're making me do that I'm not supposed to be doing. Their response? "All of the other attorneys do it when they can." A. All of the other attorneys get health insurance, job stability, and paid time off. B. Not anymore! I'm now #1 on the list to this duty that our state office has said I'm not even supposed to be doing at all!
Oh, and I can't complain to state office because the last temp that did that got crapped on at work for talking.

I'm thinking about it - I'm not sure its worth the extra $50 or not though... I'm leaning towards yes but we'll see.

Bummer about the speeding ticket Hawki.
There's a defensive driving course in Austin too that is held at different restaurants and you get dinner included in the cost of the course. I figured $25 for dinner and a toleable driving class was not too bad.
That's so much better - here you have the option of the 4 hour class for $15 or you can rent the movie or do it online for $50. You would think the online option would be cheaper since there are less personnel costs but no evidently Kentucky hasn't figured that one out.
