My future husband and I are going to look at our first house tonight (yay!!!) Im sooooo excited this has been a long time coming and finally all the sudden it just worked out right and we got the call to come look at the house tonight. The only thing- the kitchen has red walls, not my thing in the kitchen a too bit bright for me, what would be best for painting over this, the floor is a black and white and would like something a bit bright but not like when you walk in your like holy cow!
Thank you!!
Re: painting over a red wall
Grey primer.
Covered our cherry red study in one coat of grey primer and then one coat of green paint.
FIL is a house painter and we have always used Kilz to cover dark paint colors. In one apartment we used it to cover some gold paint and then painted white before we moved out. Landlord said it was the best paint job ever (and she had been really worried we woudln't be able to cover the gold).
Good luck!
