I just cooked sloppy joes and minnestrone soup because I had stuff I needed to use before it went bad but I am going out to dinner with a very picky girlfriend of mine. What's wrong with this picture?? I just tasted a bite of the sloppy joes and a couple bites of the soup.. both are amazing! Guess I'm stocking up my fridge for the weekend!
Re: Dinner
I wish you all lived closer so I could randomly stop by around dinner time.
This bag of baked Lays plus a few beers later will be my dinner tonight. blech.
They were both soo easy!!! The soup was just chopping 2-3 carrots, 2 stalks celery, 1 zucchini and 1 onion and mixing that into a soup pot with 8 cups of broth (calls for veg. broth but I used chicken - had it here). Then 1 cup of cooked diatilini pasta, 1 can of pinto beans, 1 can of chicken peas, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning, 3 cloves garlic. Bring to a boil and simmer til veggies are soft and enjoy!!!
And the sloppy joes are even easier.. ground meat (today it's turkey), brown and drain it. Add a jar of Heinz chili sauce and chop up some celery to give it crunch. Easy and done!!
