I had an interview 2 weeks ago. I was told that they hoped to make a decision by September 1st. Still haven't heard anything. I sent a quick email to HR on Wed, Sept 1. I have not received a response from the HR manager.
Would it be in bad form to also send a follow up email to the hiring manager I interviewed with? It's a big company, so I'm sure that HR is ultimately responsible for making the offer, but the hiring manager for the department is the one making the actual decision. I'm thinking he could at least let me know if the decision-making process has been prolonged for some reason.
I just can't decide if that would make me too much of a pest. Thoughts?
