Hello ladies! A few days back I posted about my wisdom teeth fears. Well, this morning I had them taken out. I just wanted to post and update.
The doctor had to cut on part of my jaw bone but he didn't break it, thank goodness!! I still have to be super careful so I don't break it on my own though. But let me tell you, the side where that particular tooth came out is incredibly painful. I came home and was sleeping and then woke up crying it was so bad. He gave me 7 prescriptions, 3 of which are pain meds. I started with the lowest dose but I have since upped it to the good stuff. :-) Where 2 of the teeth were removed, the pain meds eliminate that pain. However, that one tooth that was in my jaw bone is awful so the pain meds just take the edge off.
Hopefully it gets better by tomorrow or I have no idea how I'm going to holler at the TV when I'm watching some Longhorn football. :-)
So, just a word to the wise. If you find out you will be needing your wisdom teeth out, remove them then, don't wait 5 years!! You never know what could happen!
Re: Recovering
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
And stop scaring me! I needed mine out (at least 1 of them) 3 years ago. But my COBRA'd dental insurance didn't go through like it should have and then I lost it, and haven't had insurance since. I'm just waiting until I have dental insurance to get them out because I can't afford the surgery on my own. And those stupid studies won't take me!

And Leigha, as soon as you get insurance, get those suckers out! I wish I wouldn't have waited so long! I highly recommend my oral surgeon though if you need one!
