Earl

Earl came, and wasn't as strong as they had thought with downfall, but still did some damage.  The storm started around 9am, and our power went out at 9:30.  The winds were pretty strong, but not much rain.  DH decided to run outside and get a huge branch out of the street (we live on a busy city street) and he loved how fresh the air smelt.

After that, he decided he wanted to go to the backyard and sit in his "sitting spot", so I watched him from the bedroom window.  Not even 10 seconds after he sat down, a HUGE gust of wind came, and a 40 ft tree snapped, flew in the air, and hovered like in Wizard of OZ and landed on our garage.  I freaked out and yelled for DH to get in the house, and he was pretty scared.

The tree had a branch poke right through the roof, but the damage is small.  Here's some pics:

Nevermind, TN will only let me post one picture right now.  We're pretty lucky though, just thought I'd share! Our power finally came back around 7:30.  There was also an electrical fire across the street (a downed wire caught a tree on fire.)
