Question for those with AT&T U-Verse. . .

We switched over from Time Warner last week, and I noticed right after the technician left, the trouble light was lit on my alarm keypad and began blinking.  I called the security alarm company and they said that there was no signal.  Have any of you encountered this issue?  How did you fix it?  Thanks :)

Re: Question for those with AT&T U-Verse. . .

  • Are you talking about your house alarm?  If any of the circuits got flipped, even for a second, that could cause it to blink.  Do you have your booklet for your alarm?  I don't have mine handy but there should be something you can push to reset it and that should fix it.

  • I have ATT but don't know what you are talking about or how to help. But I didn't want you to think no one was responding. I would try to call them and ask.
  • We switched about 6m ago. We have an ADT alarm. We had no issues. Did you switch your home phone service over too? Or do you have some sort of wireless link? I would think that's where the problem lies. We only use our home phone for the alarm and emergencies. Try calling your new number. Is it in service? Can you make a call from your home?

My husband just suggested the same thing.

  • We switched to U-Verse and had the same thing happen on our alarm. We called the alarm company (Central Security- they SUCK!) and they told us that U-Verse and TW run their phone lines in a different way and someone from the alarm company would have to come out for a call to fix something where the lines were communicating again. The service isn't covered under warranty and I think it cost $75.

Yes, we have Central Security too-  I agree, they suck.   They told me the same thing (about the $75 charge).  I was hoping that it was something that AT&T could easily fix. Did you end up having to just pay the $75?  Is it working now?  Thanks!
