New Dyson: Recommended!

Hello Ladies! Earlier I not certian what type of new vacuum to purchase for I had bough cheap ones for work and they only lasted 6 months I definetly didn't want to buy one like that for home. I searched around I perviously had an Oreck, which I found to boxy and it had lost pretty much all suction. . I found a super good deal at WalMart(they are having a sale) a Dyson for $289, orgionally $399. . Brought it home and thus far I love it I'm pretty sure it has picked up atleast 3 Cups of Dirt and Dog hair that my Oreck had missed from just vacuuming yesterday. If your shopping for a vacuum I would definetly check walmart this week for the dyson, great price!

Re: New Dyson: Recommended!

  • Do you use this on wood floors or carpet??
  • I agree that the Dyson is really a good buy.  We purchased the DC23 canister vac from Target a few months ago when it was on sale, and I really like it.

I prefer the canister vac because it has a low profile head with a swivel handle that makes it very easy to slide the head under furniture for cleaning.  It also has a simple push/pull filter on the head that you use to switch from carpet to hardwood, and a retractable cord!
