I have tried just about everything when it comes to getting rid of hair down there I am italian and hair removal is necessary. The trimmer I used for years has finally died and no longer even has a name on it...I have tried waxing but am very sensitive down there and have to you unscented products if i use anything and the wax just did not work out. Any recommendations?
Re: hair removal down there?
You can try laser removal, but I know it is very expensive. I thought about it once... the price check was enough to scare me away. It also isn't absolutely permanent, like most people think. It will keep you hairless for a couple of months, but then you'll have to do it all over again. Not worth it IMO, but if you've got money to burn, that's up to you.
Have you even looked for a replacement trimmer? I have a Remington trimmer that's made for small areas, including the bikini area. I trim, then shave very carefully with a quality razor. Mens' razors are typically better than womens', I've found. I use Gillette. You can buy topical cream made specially to reduce redness and bumps in the bikini area, to use afterward. Works for me.
Did you get waxed by an esthetician, or do it yourself? I'm sure if you went to a reputable spa and told them your skin is extremely sensitive they'd have a wax specifically for your skin type. Call around, and go do a patch test.
There is also threading, which doesn't use any chemicals, but that sounds much more painful and drawn out to me.
try the schick quatro for women trim style.
it has a battery operated trimmer on the back end and a 4 blade razor on the other end. the trimmer has a removable plastic guard so you can trim and leave length, or take it off and get a closer trim. Then you can shave over it with the wet razor.
you can get it at walmart or any drug store.

I always think it's funny when people who haven't HAD laser hair removal tell people that it isn't permanent. It IS permanent. I had it done five years ago and I am still hair free. Yes, you need more than one appointment, because your hair grows in phases. So after only one treatment, you are hair free for about six weeks before you need to go in for your next treatment. But they tell you all of this in your consultation. You need a minimum of 3 treatments, some people may need as many as 8. I probably had 5, spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. And five years after the fact...still hair friggin free. It is absolutely the best decision if you want to get rid of hair in your bikini area. Do it.
Hey all!
I use shave gel called Coochy, yeah I know some may think its raunchy or whatever, but its from Pure Romance and it is the best stuff ever!!! NO razor bumps, so smooth after shaving with a razor!! Doesn't even really matter what kind of razor (cheap or expensive). My husband even uses it and loves it! And a little bit goes a long way, less than a dime size amount for each leg so it makes the stuff last a long time!!
I am an esthetician AND I have had laser hair removal. (and I am a hairy Italian too! haha)
For one if you want to try waxing again find an esthetician that uses hard wax. (don't do it yourself!) It's very different from soft wax (the kind they use with a strip) How hard wax works is that a very thin pre-wax oil is laid down on the skin first. It puts a protective barrier between the wax and skin. The wax is applied in a thick layer. It dries. No strips are used. When its dry the wax is shrink wrapped around the hair and also separates from the skin because of the oil. SOOO that means there is no tugging on the hair, the skin is less irritated and you aren't sore the next day. Plus it gets all the hair on the first pull so there is no need to go back and wax over the area again. Which also is better for the skin. I work at a large hotel on the Las Vegas strip. I see all kinds of skin and hair. And every client I do a bikini or brazilian on say that it was so much less painful then other times.
Now laser. Technically it's called "laser hair reduction" Most women have 80% reduction of hair and some will literally have like 10 hairs. Some have really amazing results and have no hair for long periods of time. But results vary from person to person. So while most people have to get touch ups maybe once a year, its VERY worth it. I am doing a brazilian and my under arms and its life changing. I spent about $1,500 for both areas and for 6 treatments each. Thats Vegas, could be more or less where you live.
Good luck!
