State College ladies
Does anyone know what is going into the stores they are working on? I am talking about the vacant store next to Petco and the old Pier One up by the mall? I just found out the building site sort of across from Wegman's is slated to be a Chick-fil-a (and possibly something else, but the Chick-fil-a is the only thing posted so far). I am dying to know what is moving in!!!

I read in the CDT that they are going to be Hershey Med Clinics for PSU faculty, staff, and their families. It's an attempt to put some sort of Hershey Med training in this area to encourage doctors that train locally to stay. I looked on the CDT website, but the story isn't up yet.
I'm very excited about the Chick-Fil-A. I will trek over to that end of town for my chicken biscuit!

The Chick-Fil-A I can confirm...there is a sign out for people to call a number to apply. It's over on Atherton...sort of across from Wegman's/near Starbucks.
I was hoping for an Old Navy, Christmas Tree Shop or something along those lines....looks like I'm out of luck!
Where is Sonic rumored to go in? I heart, heart, heart Sonic's diet cherry lime-aid so I would love to be able to get it here.
There have been ON rumors going around forever, I feel like every few years it comes up again that we will be getting one then it never happens. I did hear from someone awhile back that Trader Joes was possibly going to come to the area but haven't heard anything about it in several monthes.
Every time I go to Target, Wegmans, or Kohl's, I find it odd that there is a space between Target and Kohl's with a parking lot, but not a sign of development. That would be a great place for an Old Navy!
As for Trade Joe's, supposedly they look at the % of the surrounding population that have master's degrees in deciding where to place stores. I thought that was an interesting way to do market research. Even if they do put one in, no two-buck-chuck for us!
My friend who works at Ulta in Altoona said that SC can expect to see one within a year and a half. Whoot!
I keep hoping for a BR or a J.crew...I think that would fit in quite nicely over where Luxe was! I know - I have way too high of expectations!
If you are in the Bellefonte area like me you can get excited because we are getting a new Weis Market. I also heard that at the Uni-Mart in Bellefonte by the train tracks (I think thats the one) they are putting a Dunkin Donut inside the Uni-Mart.
