Re: PIP of the day: Dream Pet
We really want a beagle!
i really like "puggles" - beagle/pug mix
or a black & white kitten =]
Lauren - We did the exact same thing you are mentioning. We actually went to visit a beagle puppy at an animal orphanage and for various reasons ended up falling madly in love with the dog in the crate across from the beagle - Skip is much furrier and much bigger than what we thought we were going to get but you know what they say - You can't help who you fall in love with!!
Good luck on your search!
honestly i already have my dream pet! my siamese cat, kahlua
he is the biggest mama's boy, and i absolutely love him to pieces.
here he is right after we got him:
and here is a pic i took like a week ago. he just turned 3 in july
seriously he is my baby lol...

A yorkie! This is the kind of dog I really want! They are so snuggly! Its like having a puppy forever!
Andy wants a jack russell
Matt's terribly allergic to cats...so I haven't had my babies on several years.
I'm such a cat-lover!!! I love the Devon's personality and we're hoping that they won't bug his allergies too badly!
Jenna - I wanted a yorkie (or any kind of terrier) SO BADLY. But DH was strongly opposed to a small dog. He wanted a big dog so we compromised on a medium-sized dog.
Lauren - We ended up getting a 1 year old dog because we knew we couldn't commit the time to a true puppy with regards to its potty training and short-term bladder control. Good luck whenever you start looking! I think adopting animals is SO great!
bravesgirl, I love puggles too! I would love to have one... but DH doesn't want one. (He doesn't like dogs unless they are large.)
So after we move next year and hopefully get a place with a yard, we want to get:
A standard poodle. I love how cute and smart they are! Alternate choice is a Great Dane.
I am so lucky to have my dream pets, here are my babies, Sophie and Vegas:
A Havanese! They are related to Bichon Frise but they have better personalities. They aren't as popular though so there aren't as many breeders and they are harder to come by and more expensive.
I would also like a Fennec Fox if I were home more often to take care of it. Well that would be the case with a dog too I guess.
Our dog, Gigi, is our perfect pet! She's a mix between a malteese and a shiz tsu, which just makes her a little, fluffy thing. She's a sweetheart! It's adorable to see my DH, who's a bigger guy, walk her. :-)
German Shep puppy!!!
Or Siberian Husky puppy!!
i love my little guy. he is my baby
but i wouldnt mind getting another beagle!
bravesgirl- i love puggles! they are so cute
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
My parents were --> <-- this close to adopting a great dane. We were going to name him Wayne. But by the time we found a reasonably priced crate for him, he wasn't at the shelter anymore.
I would love a standard poodle, but Cody doesn't like them. They are just so cool, especially with cuts like in your picture. Really, though, any dog that is too big to be carried is fine with us. It'll be another coupla years before we can adopt, though.
Of course, I keep holding my breath for one of these:
A great dane named Wayne! How cute that would have been! If we get a dane, I want to name him Duke.
But DH thinks that is silly because it's "copying Marmaduke". Sigh. Lol.
A Duke could be named for John Wayne, too!
