ATTENTION CRAFTY DIY QUEENS!
It might seem a bit early but with the economy the way it is right now i find myself already worrying about the holidays. T and I as well as my brothers family and my mom have decided that this year as far as gifts go we are going to buy for the kiddos but all other gift giving is going to be of a DIY homemade nature. WHICH I AM SO EXCITED FOR!
I have already started planning a few ideas but would love some more. Besides a lot of baking we will be doing ( btw thanks again ctbride for that fabulous recipe blog), this is what i am thinking so far:
Bottlecap Key Chains with a photo of the Boys Inside (the kids are going to make these for all the grandparents and aunts and uncles )
Knitted Golf Club Covers (kids are also making these for my Mom)
Knitted Hats and Scarves
A handmade wedding album for my mom (shes getting married in May)
Quilts
For T I am going to make a shadow box of each of the boys, I will use a bunch of photos she will take of them (since she is the photographer) and also have them write a letter to her and give some small items that are important to them.
Any other great ideas or good sites I can check out?
Thanks Ladies!
Re: DIY GIFT IDEAS?
I love those ideas. I am copying some OLD pictures of the family. Just cute ones I always pause at in the album and giving them in frames. I am also making ornaments out of cookie cutters I got for cheap and am painting.
The gift of TIME is always great. Gift certificate for dinner at your house. A gardening glove and certificate for 2 hours help planting in the spring. Stuff like that. I personally want someone to come help me organize my music onto an external hard drive!
what a great idea! i would LOVE gardening help
