I've seen other cities post about getting free ebooks from the library. Does anyone know if there's a way to do this in Austin? I've downloaded some of the classics for free in the past, but it would be nice not to have to buy new ebooks every time! I have the Nook (B&N) if that makes a difference!
Re: Library & Ebooks
It's been a while since I tried it, but there were a lot of non-fiction and public domain titles. I don't think they've added a lot (or any) bestsellers or new releases.
I've been following the ebook business and I know some libraries are able to offer more recent titles, but given that publishers are the ones holding up the lending features on devices, I'm not sure how they've managed to get around this.
