How was everyone's weekend?

Re: How was everyone's weekend?

  • LONG. But not in a good way. Saturday and Sunday I was supposed to be off work at 2:30 and Sat I was there til 3:45, Sun I was there til 3:15. I also worked yesterday til 4:30.

  • Kinda booooooooring. :)

But this week is going to be exciting! Sammy's first day of preschool is tomorrow, and I'm getting a new roll of Savage paper (its a backdrop) on Thursday so I'll be taking a lot of photos, LOL.

  • Mine was pretty good. :)

Friday was pretty boring - I ran some errands then hung out at home.

Saturday was FOOTBALL and then I went out in the evening for a friend's birthday - lots of fun! :)

Sunday I cleaned up around the house a bit, and then we went "away" for our anniversary.   Ate at JB's Sarnie Shop, saw Dinner for Schmucks, had drinks at Bar Louie and then stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons!

Monday we had an awesome breakfast at the hotel then came home.  Did some laundry, lounged around and then went to the ILs for a cookout.

  • Friday was the Rockets game - we had a blast tailgating and at the game, even though they lost miserably and didn't score one offensive point...

Saturday was my mom's birthday and I spent the day over there with my parents, brother and SIL - we sat around and chit-chatted and watched football!  DH had to work until 3:30ish and then we went out to the Mud Hens game and out with friends after, which was so fun!!

Sunday, we watched some football and then went to my family reunion and then a work party for a CW of mine.  We stopped and visited with MIL for a bit and headed home.

Yesterday, DH had to work all day.  I cleaned, did yard work and baked.  :)

  • It was a very good weekend from beginning to end...no particular reason, just a great weekend!

Friday night we went to dinner at Bravos.

Saturday got up for College Gameday (I only watched the first hour then hit the gym while DH got Big Al set up in the front yard).  We went to the mall before the 3:30 games (I decided to return that strapless red dress) so I could get myself a new Ohio State tee and an Alabama one as well.  And stock up at VS.  DH watched the U of M/Notre Dame games at his best friend's while I did some cleaning and game watching.  DH was disappointed his game wasn't televised...until we realized that we could watch it on my laptop...even better when realized we could connect it to the tv!

Sunday made it to church for the first time in a long time (well over a year for DH), then lunch at the Golden Corral (DH wanted the mashed potatos...needless to say I wasn't impressed) then went to the casino after an afternoon nap.  Big'Z's for dinner.

Yesterday was just an absolutely lazy day.  Period.  I did manage a shower.  But that's about it.  Oh...and I did run out for pizza, too.

  • It was pretty nice, except DH was sick :(

Friday was my sister's bday, so my mom and I took her to Olive Garden for lunch.  I took N8 for a walk later that afternoon, and that's about it.

Saturday my mom and I went shopping, then N8 and I went to my SIL's house to make cupcakes for my sister.  She wanted penguin cupcakes, and they didn't turn out too bad!

Sunday my family had a cookout at my grandpa's house.  Played cornhole and ate too much. :)

Monday my mom, sister, and aunt came over to see N8.  Got some cleaning done while they played with him.

  • Two words: Denard Robinson. Hoping this is a sign of things to come. I know it was just UConn, but he was a transformed player from last season. It was fun to watch him.

  • Fun but tiring.

Saturday we headed up to my aunt and uncles place to camp for the weekend. (They live right on one of the lakes in Irish Hills)  I learned that I don't really enjoy tent camping when it goes down to 44 degrees. Brrrr!!!!!

I do like camping...just wish it wasn't do much work!  Plus we have so much laundry to do when we come home. Uggg.

However, I'm lucky that it's Rosh Hashanah this week so I don't have to work Thursday or Friday!  Makes for a great 2-day work week and the rest is all paid holidays! Sweet!

  • Relaxing!!  I did NO work (amazing for me) until last night at 9PM.  I'm really bad about bringing work home with me.  The no work has caused me to be really behind today, but whatever.

Friday - went to the Rockets game.  It was only ok (for reasons I shall not get into)

Saturday - went to the Y and then my mom and sis came up and we went to HL and M's to just mess around.  Then H and I laid around and watched football.  We then went to the "new" Tangos and it SUCKS.  It's no longer Mexican, it's Latin.  Blah food and no free chips.

Sunday - went to the Y with H and then laid around the rest of the day

Monday - went to the Y with H, went to Packos for a late lunch and then took another nap, did some work and went to bed.  We did book our trip out to Boise to watch BSU and the rockets next month though!!!

  • Mine was good. I'm really tired thought because I organized/cleaned all weekend. We didn't get the garage sale put together like we wanted to, but I think we are going to do it this weekend instead.

You know...this is all I've heard about the new incarnation of Tangos'...just that it sucks!  Sounds like they really bombed with this idea!

  • busy busy busy busy!!
Fri - dinner w/DH, a friend and her sister (she's a friend too). Her sister just got engaged, yay! Went out for a drink afterward and saw another couple friends.
Sat - cleaned some, then went to Fulton Co Fair for rough truck challenge w/friends. Got giant onion rings for a snack, then DH and I hit up Sakura for 1/2 price sushi.
Sun - slept in a bit, did some house stuff & couple errands, and had my sister over for dinner.
Yesterday - worked out, FIL brought us lunch & visited for a bit, then went boating w/friends and had dinner at Red Robin. I hate that place - they were out of 5 different things and it's just never a great dining experience.

  • Busy but fun.

Friday we drove up there to see my extended family in for my grandma's 90th birthday.

Saturday DH, A and I headed to the Fulton Co. fair to see my mom for about an hour or so.  It was kinda fun.  That night we went to P-burg for the birthday dinner and then back to my brother's then back to my dad's for the rest of the night

Sunday we had a cookout and relaxing day at my dad's which was a lot of fun!  We drove back home that night.

Monday we just relaxed did LOADS of laundry, groceries and I worked.  I was a little crabby for whatever reason, but I'm feeling better today :)

  • AWESOME!!!!!  Very very busy.

Friday night I was asleep no joke by 9:30.  Which was actually super nice.

Saturday Matt worked, then we left and went straight to a GTG at my Booma's house, where a long lost family video was found and Matt got to see his wife and my cousin hunting for Easter gifts when we were 3.  He loved it, lol.  No, I'm serious.  From there we went to my dad's around 7:00 and watched Field of Dreams (one of our family's favorite movies and my dad's gf had never seen it.)  We left a little after 11:30.

Sunday Matt golfed in the morning with a friend and I ran errands with my mom (got my new SmartPhone which made me feel very dumb for a while, lol)  My mom and I got home and made no-bake cookies, then when Matt got home we went to lunch at Houlihan's with a couple of our closest married friends.  Went to SouthPark Mall to get something for Matt, ran home, then went to our best friends' house.  We did Swings n Things (mini golf, batting cage, etc.) before heading to their place for some Rock Band and drinking games.  Our friend got her husband a bottle of Absinthe, either for Christmas or for his birthday and they've been waiting for us to try it with them (that's kind of how we are.)  Absinthe= GREAT.  Instant happy buzz without feeling at all sick.  We stayed the night there.

Monday we woke up and had breakfast with our friends, then left and made a pit stop at our old high school.  There is literally only a very very small portion of our high school still standing at this point as they are tearing it down to build a new high school.  It was tough and sad but fascinating and exciting to see the new school and the old site in a pile of rubble.  Then we went to see his grandma, went to his parents' house, Matt went golfing with his dad, I went shopping with his mom, then we ordered dinner in before we left to head back to Toledo.

Busy busy busy!!!!  This is a big part of the reason why we need to/want to move back!  We'd have so much more free weekends if we had time on weeknights to do some of this!!
