Job Update (all good!)

So over a month ago I was posting about job issues--to cut to the chase in a Seinfeld manner: the company I work for was bought, yadda, yadda yadda, my last day is 4/30.

Well...I interviewed with a competitor awhile back...hadn't heard a thing--until I got an offer!!! Wo-hoo!!! I'll be leaving my job probably Friday the 25th instead of Wed the 30th with decent severance, and start my new 'gig' (Marketing job) May 5th!! I was going to take more time off, but the new job is itching for me to start (they wanted me 5/1 originally..)

DH and I have our 2nd anniversary 4/22...we thought about heading to FL for 4 days to celebrate the job and anniv (we had our honeymoon on Marco Island) but now I think we've decided to take the vacation money and spend it on things we want for the house, which we've only had not quite a year.

So everything is looking up!!! As for the infertility issues (my other saga), now I can talk to the RE/fertility doc office and ask them to compare medical coverage (my current company will COBRA for 3 months--and then I can continue COBRA for up to 15 more -vs- coverage that I WILL have at the new job). We want to see who covers IUI best...not sure when we'll pull the trigger on the IUI plans, first things first, gotta check out coverage for the drugs/procedure/etc

Anyway, I was so down in the dumps 1-2 months ago, I can't even tell you...and wow, now things are looking great...

I know lots of you gave me wonderful words of support--and thank you for the good kharma! I'll happily send any job dust on to any other CT Nestie in need!

That is great news Lisa. I do remember you posting about your job. It's amazing how things can turn around in a short time. It will be nice to have some time off before you start your new job. I just have such a good feeling that all your fertility plans will work out too! Thanks for the update.
