ANKARA, Turkey - A hijacker was overpowered by passengers as he attempted to commandeer a Turkish Airlines plane, an official said on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for airport operator TAV said the assailant was overpowered after saying he had a bomb strapped to his body.

Whoa is all I can come up with.
Re: NER: Passengers overpower mid-air hijacker
You forgot option (c) . While the passengers are holding him down, you could give him a Spankin' !!!
heeheeehee
Can you imagine that making the news?!
Wow. But how could they assure that the bomb didn't go off?
...And how did a guy get on a plane wearing a bomb??
If you assume a likely alternative is have the hijacker fly your plane into a building, killing you as well as thousands of others, you are probably going to take that chance.
9/11 put hijackers out of business.
