As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Update on my Dad
So now my Dad has been in the hospital for over a week. On Friday, they drained another 3 Liters of fluid off his lungs, making it a total 4.5 Liters. They have also had to give him a catheter. He was supposed to go home today, but his latest X-ray showed some fluid beginning to form again. The doctor gave him the option of getting a shunt put in, with normal doctor visits to have it drained or recurring hospital stays. He chose the shunt and will have surgery tomorrow to have it put in. He'll be going home with a catheter for a few more days as well.
Mom said that he seems to be feeling better though. He still coughs a lot, but not nearly as much as he has been lately. DH & I are planning on going down to WR for a visit this weekend - provided that I magically avoided the Con Crud. *fingers crossed*

Thank you so much, ladies. Mom has dialysis this morning and then she'll head over to the hospital to be with Dad. She'll call me as soon as she has some news.
Bad news - DH is sick. So far, I'm ok. If he's still sick this weekend, he'll just drop me off with the family and go hang out with his folks in Gray. We don't want to expose my Dad to any germs.
