  We had a great long weekend.  Friday: Did some shopping with my girlfriend.  Saturday:  Headed to the outlets and had a great success at getting new fall clothes.  Sunday:  Church, nap and hanging out with friends.  Monday:  Took it easy, hung out with some neighbors and went for a run!  I actually feel refreshed and (somewhat) ready to head back to work.

  Friday DH and I drove up to take Timmy, our lab up to be transferred to NY for GEB training. It doesn't get any easier the second time around ( And Lucy, our basset is very pouty right now too.

  After that DH surprised me with a trip to DC and we went to some of the memorials and museums, got followed by a HOBO, ran into an english couple twice in one weekend (what are the odds), and walked  A LOT. Also lost the Metro stop, so that was an adventure. Over all though, it was an amazing weekend! )

  We stopped at IKEA on the way home today. I behaved for the most part, but made a list for things I'm going back for )

  It was a very good weekend!  I did a LOT of household chores--took out a ton of weeds from around the garden--and those were the kind I have to dig up because they form giant root balls.  I repainted my mailbox so that it's all nice and spiffy looking now, and planted some bulbs my mom had brought down to me last week.  I met a new spider in our garden, he's very mean looking, but I'm not sure he's all that bad.  I also re-organized some other stuff around the house, hit my neighbors pool and had a cook out at the house yesterday.
