Stupid Allergies =[

Ever since we went camping last weekend my allergies have been acting up. I woke up in the middle of the night last night sneezing and it took me a while to get back to sleep. I took an allergy pill but it hasn't helped at all, I guess I need to get something stronger. I love fall, but I hate allergiesSad

Re: Stupid Allergies =[

  • UGH!! I've heard lots of ppl have started with the allergies already. I used to have them as a kid, but not so much now.  Feel better
  • Ugh... mine have started already, too.  That's what sucks about living in the Tennessee Valley area.  Allergies are horrible here.  I think mine are acting up because of all the cotton fields.  I have constant runny nose

  • I haaaaaaate allergies - I can deal with the runny nose, it's the eyes that bother me.  My eyes get so swollen and itchy, it's the biggest pain in the a$$.

  • My eyes don't ever bother me.  Adam used to have really bad allergies as a kid and got suspended from school for beating up some kids that were making fun of him saying that he was crying.  He pretty much grew out of them though.

  • I never really had them bad as a kid and my eyes never bother me, its just my nose. I think mine are because of all the golden rod getting ready to bloom around here.

  • Yayyyy hayfever! Ugh.

I woke up really early this morning, too, but I don't think I have anything to blame it on but stress. :(

  • I am having the same issues you are not alone at all it sucks!!!!! Hugs!!!!
  • That sucks!  I'm soooo glad I don't have allergies.

  • Ummm I NEVER had allergies until two years ago!  My throat hurt so bad that I thought I had Strep.  I went to my doc and she was like "You have allergies.  You're throat pain is from drainage."

I just looked at her and said "Ummm no I don't." HAHA.

She just laughed at me and gave me a scrip for Allegra D and Nasonex.  They work when I take them... but let's face it, I don't take it until I feel the need.  I'm supposed to take it everyday.  They got so bad right before the wedding that I lost my voice for 10 days and it came back the day before the rehearsal.  I was terrified I wasn't going to have a voice for my wedding!

But they have been acting up lately so I suppose I should start taking them again.

  • I feel you, girl! I've had bad allergies for as long as I remember.  I should take a pill everyday, but in "not so bad" times, I try to kind of wean myself off of it so I only take it every few days (aka when I remember).  But this weekend - WOWZERS.  My allergies were in FULL FORCE.  It was so bad 2 nights ago that I barely slept all night.  I rolled around, couldn't breathe, sneezed and snot flew everywhere (yes. really.), blew my nose, propped my head up with pillows, etc.  Last night I started feeling like it was more than allergies (maybe sinus infection or something???) so I took Nyquil and at least I got a little sleep!! You aren't the only one suffering -- We can suffer together! :)
