My vacation and interview (long).
I got back from Colorado last night. Very good trip -
first, got to see Normailed and Nick at the airport 
Did whitewater rafting with my brother Sunday- he really is a great guide. I was impressed.
Monday we started to hike up a 14er (mt. Quandary). It was very cold and windy and we weren't quite dressed for it. About an hour or so into the hike I told DH to give me the car keys and I would wait for him b/c my ears hurt from the cold. He tried going a bit further but above tree line it was so windy he was being pushed back and thought it would take forever to get to the peak, so he also turned around.
Yesterday I had a quick job interview before heading to the airport - I think it went well. Even better - I told my old bosses and advisor of this and asked them to serve as references and they've agreed and completely understand why I want to move. I was worried they would think I was making a big mistake with my career (and they've all invested in getting me to where I am) - but I should have remembered my advisor left the east coast for Nebraska and dreams of living in Montana, and my old boss left his job to live in the Southwest.
And for those on the ND babies board - I decided not to POAS b/c it was probably too early anyway. Now it seems AF is here so good thing I didnt' waste the moolah :-)
