Spa/Resort rave - The Crossings
I hope some of you got the Groupon from a while back for a day at The Crossings... My mom and I finally used ours this weekend and it was awesome. It definitely helped that the weather was perfect so I'm SO glad we waited this long to do it. I have never been so relaxed and zen and at peace with the world as I was that day. The staff was very nice, the facilities weren't huge but were excellent. I only did one class (Poolside Stretch) which was nice but my mom did a bunch of other ones and really enjoyed them. The pool area (where I spent most of my time) was quiet and calming and just right for sunning, reading, chilling, swimming. The hike I took by myself was pretty and peaceful. The lunch that was provided was much nicer than I expected... salad bar, tons of yummy veggies, lots of options (tofu, chicken, beef, scallops) plus great desserts. And my massage was sublime... I fell asleep toward the end but didn't mind one bit as it was so relaxing yet still got my knots worked out.
If you get a chance to go... go! The all-day spa package is still a great deal, even at full price I think since it includes a spa credit plus all of the above.
