when you have a sore throat??
my throat hurts sooooo bad. i think i should go to the doctor.
Re: what do you do??
1) gargle warm salt water
2) hot tea with lemon and honey (or just hot water with lemon & honey)
3) This is weird, but it helps: rub vicks vapor rub on the bottoms of your feet and put socks on. Sounds crazy but for some reason it works!
OJ.
Also, I've found that exercise helps. When you exercise typically you breathe a little heavier which initially would iritate your throat. However, your body will naturally produce more mucus to combat the soreness. It is usually the last thing that I want to do but it always makes me feel better in the long run.
Hot Toddy. Right before I take a nap or go to bed

Traditional Scottish recipe
Pour a shot of Whisky into a cup or mug, add boiling water to it. Add a spoonful of honey or sugar. Add a half slice of lemon, 2 cloves and, if you have one, a cinnamon stick. leave it is to brew for 3?5 minutes.
I usually just do the whiskey, and hot tea (not hot water) with honey and lemon.
