Re: This is horrible...
um.... WOW.
My first thought was that maybe the husband accused her of making it up in order to benefit from the divorce, because WHO would actually DO THIS??? But it seems they have proof against her in that she never actually saw the damn doctor. Somebody's going to jaiiiilllll!!!!

I just read that article a few minutes ago. I feel so bad for her husband more than anyone else. He cried for 2 weeks straight thinking he was going to lose this woman that he loved and it makes me so sad. I can't believe she would treat someone this way.
Those business should be reimbursed for everything they gave her for free and she should go to jail for fraud and theft. And she should definitely lose custody of her child, she obviously has mental issues and needs counseling.
Wow, that is sick. I live 10 minutes down the road from there, I am surprised this is the first time I am hearing about it.
It is amazing some of the things people will do, I remember a teacher somewhere faking cancer so people would give her money for medical bills.

I remember this story too. Some people are too greedy for their own good!

So, she tricked him so he'd marry her and be more than just her baby-daddy. And she tricked the community into paying for a lavish wedding so she didn't have to pay for it herself or ask her family for help.

That is SO SO SO sad and unfair! I just can't believe people could have the ability to lie like that and tug at someone's heart... I'm starting to involve myself in wish upon a wedding which is a charity for people who have terminal illness and want to be married. HOWEVER they require that you sign a statement allowing the charity to speak to the hospital/doctors and anyone else to get your medical records so something like this can't happen. It just makes me mad that someone could be so heartless when people just want to do something good.
DEF...this needs to be investigated...and she needs to be punished.
The amount of money she scammed is HUGE!
and the trust she broke... goodness... did she not think the truth would come out?
its like when women lie that they are pregnant. the truth will come out!
Normally I would never EVER wish someone to have cancer.....
But considering that my H had it and I saw firsthand how awful it is, and to know that some selfish, desensitized wench would fake it for a free wedding & honeymoon... that would be true justice.
I hope she is charged with fraud, and they really should throw the book at her.
