Our upstairs neighbors are inexcusably loud. I can hear every move they make at all hours of the day/night. Walking, opening cabinets, climbing the stairs, talking etc. It's to the point that I'm wondering if the kid is constantly moving furniture while he's home or playing that DDR game.
We had a neighbor who lived there before these guys with a really large dog who we NEVER EVER heard.
I've considered writing an anonymous letter, but we're the only ones who live below them. I've thought about just going up there and telling them politely that they're too loud, but we haven't even met them yet.
Any suggestions? TIA
Re: advice, please
I had to deal with this when I lived an apt. I knocked on the door, introduced myself, and politely explained that she and her BF/FI/whatever were very loud. I could hear everything. She was pretty embarrassed and was much quieter after that. Maybe it helped that her BF/FI/whatever moved out shortly after that. If that doesn't work, I'd talk to the property/apt. manager. There are probably "quiet hours" that residents are required to observe.
I'd also invest in a good pair of earplugs from www.earplugsuperstore.com.
They were a lifesaver for me in college and apts. I still wear them when DH snores.
Sorry you are having to put up with loud neighbors!
