Photographer Recommendation
Morning ladies!
I am a nestie/knottie from Central PA. My photographer is moving to the Pensacola area in October. I have nothing but great things to say about her, but I do know that moving to a new area is hard to drum up business. I found Kate on The Knot myself, through past bride recommendations and I wanted to give a small shout out to her in case any nesties were ISO maternity, family, or RTD photographers. Her name is Katie Willmann and her company is called Captured By Kate Photography.
Her prices are extremely reasonable and she is great to work with. She's artistic and extremely nice and organized.

Someone who has posted 3,000+ times should know better. . . that is all I have to say about that.
I recently used Captured by Kate for my March 2010 wedding (and rehearsal) and I can honestly say my wedding day would not have been so perfect if it wasn?t for Kate. She went above and beyond to ensure my wedding day was a success and my photographs were perfect. I have received so many compliments on my photographs and album that Kate designed for me and my husband. Her prices were very reasonable and she posted my photos on her web-site almost immediately (which I appreciated because I couldn?t wait to see them!). Once I selected the photos for my album, she designed and delivered it to me within a matter of days, not weeks. I highly recommend Capture by Kate for your wedding because her prices are great, she?s fun, she is detail oriented, and most importantly her photographs are beautiful! I will definitely continue to use Kate in the future.

Secondly, neither of us are vendors we were just simply trying to help someone out in relocating their business. A lot of people found Kate in Central PA via TK, TN, and word of mouth.
I dont regular the North Florida board for obvious reasons, therefore it was easier to post something rather than lurk on your board and wait for a request. Now its a searchable topic should another nestie be looking for a photographer and while you yourself may not be interested, someone else might.
I dont see a difference between me rec'ing a photographer and a local nestie saying, "I went to this new restaurant, hair salon, store, etc and it was fab!"
If youre not interested, move along. No reason to be snarky.
ACTUALLY, Kate has family in Central PA and plans to still book continued shoots with her previous clients when she returns for holidays.

I'm sorry but out of everything this is what made me laugh the most. I'm glad you have such high hopes for the nest's search function.
If Kate would like to join our board as a nestie/friend, we'd love to have her. And I'm sure if she's as good as you say she is, she'll find lots of other ways to build her business after the relocation. She'd done it before, after all. And maybe, after developing a relationship with us, she'll end up doing pics for someone we know and it might get mentioned on the board. Maybe.

this is true, its less than stellar. but what i really meant to say was if someone came on the board and was looking for a photographer they would be able to find it going through thread topics.
im sure kate would appreciate your invitation, but giving that vendors are not supposed to post on TN and she herself is not engaged or married she would not have just joined your board under false pretenses and then said, "oh btw i'm a photographer."
as i said before, i found her through TK which was her main way to advertise herself in central pa so i was simply trying to help a girl out. im sorry that none of you received this well.
