I heard about this on the radio this morning. It's a new show that is suppose to air on September 26 and it's a show about a real family where the man has 3 wives! I, for one, am sort of excited to see it. I liked Big Love and can't wait to see how this legally works.
Check out this link to it!
Re: TLC's Sister Wives
OHMAHGAH. i was just on perezhilton and the thing cut out before i could get past the "sister from the same mister" comment.
i'm fascinated by "modern" polygamy.

All I can say is that after living in Utah now for 4 years, the religion portrayed on Big Love is not the modern Mormon religion. I am saying this because my husband was raised Mormon and really takes offense to how it is portrayed in that show even though he doesn't practice anymore.
What I can't figure out is how it is legal to create a reality tv show on an illegal aspect of their life. Sigh.... it sounds interesting, but I don't think I will be tuning in.
What it sounded like on the radio is that this guy has found a legal way to do it. Not entirely sure how that one works but I guess we will find out.
I've watched a couple specials on polygamy in the US, and I think (could be totally wrong though), if I remember right, they only legally marry the first wife, and the others are just a ceremony, no legal documents, more like common-law marriages. I could be remembering wrong, though.
