Ruthless
One of DH's teammates got released (fired) last night, an hour before his wife went in for a C-Section with their first baby after trying to be induced for 4 days. This guy is a 4 year starting Vet with the team, who used to play in the NFL so I bet he didn't see this coming. Could you imagine finding out your hubby has no job and you have no income an hour before you deliver a baby. It blows my mind how ruthless this business is, normal rules and common sense don't seem to apply. Vent over, I thought you girls might find this as shocking as I do.

BNOTB September Siggy Challenge: What I Will Miss About Summer: Swimming whenever I want. This is a pic of the largest pool in the world.
I totally get it's the nature of the business... I really do. And I guess being released would be difficult no matter how soon after the baby was born. But the fact that they did it when obviously his wife was getting prepped for surgery is what gets me the most.
I know they're not a doctor, but a little bedside manor would be appreciative!
Especially since they knew his wife was having medical problems and he was in/out of practice all last week. You think they would wait to make sure Mom and Baby were healthy after delivery before doing something like that.
