Hi ladies,
So my DH was very sweet one morning and got up and made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Bless his heart - he pulled out my best baking sheet (the air filled kind) and sprayed it to death with non stick cooking spray. Now the cooking spray is seriously baked on and I cannot for the life of me get it off. I've tried soap, Ajax, baking soda and Barkeeper's Friend. It helps but I don't have enough strength in my fingers to scrub as hard and as long as it would take to remove it all. The cookie sheet will sit on my counter for a while until I get tired of looking at it, then I'll toss it in the dishwasher until it's taking up too much room! LOL! I really want to get it clean so I can keep using it - it's my favorite one! Any ideas for something cleaning it that doesn't require hours of scrubbing? TIA!
Re: DH ruined my baking sheet!
If it has any kind of non-stick coating, DO NOT use steel wool!!

ah yes, sorry neglected to mention that.
Soak it in white vinegar (if you want you can add some lemon juice to it) then grab some baking soda and a rag, The baking soda is abrasive, but won't scratch the non stick coat. . . Plus both are natural chemicals that eat at the scum . . .
If it doesn't work, well atleast it's just a baking sheet! It could be a ton worse!!
My mom uses foil or parchment paper on her baking sheets so she doesn't have to wash them.
I, on the other hand, was new to the art of cooking at the beginning of college and did exactly what your DH did to your cookie sheets. I still use them, but now do what my mom does to hers. One of these days I'll buy non-junky ones, but for now they work.
