AW: DH!!
DH called me last night and said he had his annual review at work and his boss is recommending him for a promotion to Project Manager 1 from Project Engineer 5. Yay!!! In two and a half years that is a major promotion. DH works with some guys that have been with the company 10+ years who are still Project Engineers! I'm so proud of him!! AND the best part, is that the company will pay him a comparable salary to his Project Manager peers (even if they are not at the same company) and I think they may go by the San Francisco rate, which is much higher! That also means even less pressure for me to go back to work (DH moreso wanted me to go back for the extra cushion, but this will put our income close to what it was when we got married and we were plenty comfortable back then). The only thing is that the VP of the company has to approve it and there may be promotion freezes, but even if it doesn't happen now, it will happen as soon as the company says okay.

That is amazing news! I know you feel like taking a sigh of relief since you've been dealing with issues finding a new job.
