We recently bought Squirt a lifejacket b/c sometimes we bring her out on my IL's boat w/ us. We gave it a try last weekend and I was surprised by how little she was bothered by it, though I think it was mostly b/c the fun boat ride distracted her, she didn't seem thrilled about it when we tried it on dry land. So I was on the Petsmart website looking for a doggie backpack, b/c I always joke that we should get something for her to wear so she can carry her own *** on our walks. I happen upon this picture, which advertises Aquagloves, and had to laugh and share it. The dog just looks so awkward and kind of like "I'm trying to look happy, but really....why are you doing this to me??"
Anyway, does anyone have clothing for their pets? If so, what? Any pictures to share?
Re: Clothing for pets
Our dog has this: http://www.rei.com/product/762023
We got it so he wouldn't get mistaken for a deer when we hike in the woods. Also, he has short hair and gets cold easily, so he wears it for walks in the winter. He loves it.
Poor dog. I'm not a fan of shoes for dogs either.
I have a lot of hats for the bunnies & just got their Halloween hats this past weekend (photos to come soon). We've only tried clothing on them once and it didn't go over real well. They don't like having it put on and then it's hard to judge what size b/c their fur is so fluffy it makes them seem twice the size of what they really are. They deal with hats a lot better.
I have a santa hat for Shadow that he hates. This is literally seconds after I placed it on his head. He's got the "yeah, mom, take the picture quick 'cause this is TERRIBLE" look on his face.
I think they are meant for the beach, to prevent their feet from being cut on shells & stuff. Which has been a concern of mine when we bring Squirt, but I can't imagine trying to get booties on her.
Bobsbride, I love the sporty outfit. I bet all the other dogs feel like such amatuers!
Yeah, I've seen similar shoes in stores here during the winter for the snow and ice, but I have yet to see them on anyone's dog.
Lacy has this coat, since she doesn't have much hair and is a total baby about walking in the winter time:
