Stephen King's Dark Tower series?
Ok, so I love Stephen King. Even though during the series he was pretty self absorbed (by writing himself into one of the books... jackass, but whatever). i just saw that they confirmed a deal for three movies for the series. I cannot freakin wait for this. I love seeing books getting made into movies. Seeing the way that characters that I pictured in my head are no where near what they look like when they cast them. Seeing the different plot-lines. Yeah, I'm a nerd... so what?
Re: Stephen King's Dark Tower series?
I went through a phase during my undergrad when I read Stephen King books exclusively. I had to take a bus (egad, the horror) to my job every day, and because public transit sucks, what would normally be a 10 minute drive in a car took over an hour on the bus. So to occupy myself, I read. I read soooooooo many of his books that year, but now I can't remember which ones I read. I really like his writing though.
My brother has read pretty much every single book he's ever written though. I remember when I was a kid and he was in junior high/high school he had just stacks and stacks of Stephen King books.
