Top Chef/The Choir (spoilers and stuff)
Top Chef 1: Now that Kelly and Tiffany are gone, I'm at a loss for who to root for. I kind of liked Ed, but he seemed pretty douchey this episode.
Top Chef 2: Last week with Eric Ripert and Anthony Bourdain as judges, I just kept thinking the whole time, "Man, Fallin must be in heaven."
Does anyone watch The Choir on BBC America? It's so sweet. I just love it to bits. This week when they talked to the man who wanted to join the community choir because his wife had died a month ago and he was sad and depressed, my heart just broke for him.
Re: Top Chef/The Choir (spoilers and stuff)
I don't know who to root for. I was never a big Kelly fan after her "MY CARNITAS!" episode early in the season. I agree that Ed seemed douchey.
I had a different reaction to Tom's more-than-4-dishes requirement. If each chef is expected to make more than one dish, tell them that when you lay out the rules for the challenge. I know it would never happen, but I sort of wished the chefs had said, "You know what? No. All of us are making one really good dish each, so you can't penalize any of us for not doing more."
I also like Ed. Especially over Angelo the big crybaby cranky pants.
I would root for Kevin, but he's suuuuuch an underdog. But I like his personality and his food has really stepped up over the last handful of episodes.
I keep seeing Top Chef Just Desserts previews. I don't think I'll be a fan. I do LOVE desserts but I don't think I can watch a whole season full of whole episodes on just desserts.
this season sucks major donkey balls.
everyone sucks. I kind of liked Tiffany, but Kelly. Ick.
Even Tom seems disgusted with the contestants this year.
I don't think it was a requirement so much as just common sense. You're doing a party for a major food industry player and 80 guests to get into the finals of a $125K competition and you, as a "top chef," are only doing one selection each? I think Tom was shocked at their lazyassness. I think it came from the same place as Padma's shock that Kevin knew the finals were in Asian and he hadn't bothered to experiment with a wok.
I think Ed was being a d-bag to mess with Angelo's head.
I'm cool with anyone winning but Angelo. He completely lost my vote after he said he made love to his steak.
Do not watch the season of The Choir where he prepares the inner city kids' choir for competition. Gareth Malone is such a tit in that one that Mr. Mod and I stayed up for hours yelling at the TV screen and wishing violence upon him.
Is he an assholethis season too?

I was pulling for Tiffany and was sad when you got eliminated last week. I have liked Ed for a while and thought his douchey-ness was just to mess with Angelo. I loved when Angelo asked to use his spoon and ed said yeah but my mom gave me that spoon.
I don't like Kevin but I think it is because I lumped him in with Kenny in the beginning as a cocky guy that couldn't deliver.
I haven't seen that. There have been a few episodes where he's said things out of frustration, but I haven't seen him yell yet (though I missed several of the first episodes). I'm sad to hear he acted assholey enough to elicit such a response from you guys, I really like him so far.
Tiffany was my boo. I was sad to see her go last week.
But seeing Angelo cry like a little biitch was the highlight of my week, "to be honest witchoo"
