Thank you note AFTER offer?
I interviewed with someone for a job two weeks ago. After, I sent a handwritten thank you note.
I had a second interview with someone else yesterday and was offered the job as I was driving home from it (YAY!)
I was planning on sending a note to her as well, saying thanks for meeting with me and also, thanks for the offer and I'm excited to join the team, etc etc. But, the person who gave the job offer was interviewer #1, so I feel funny thanking #2 for the offer...
Am I overthinking this? How should I word it?
Re: Thank you note AFTER offer?
You could just say everything that you mentioned above minus the "thank you for the offer" part. You know, thanks for meeting with me, looking forward to joining the team, etc.
Congratulations on the offer, btw!
I was in that situation, and didn't even bother with a TY note. I would just thank them by being an awesome employee.
Congrats!

ha, so I was overthinking it
Thanks guys! I'm so excited - it's pretty much my dream job!
Your dream job- how awesome!
Like Dr. Loretta, I was in the same situation and didn't write one, but I don't think it can hurt to do so. So, either way.
I ended up sending the note. Like PP said, I think it's better to over-thank.
I start the job very soon. I'm so excited!
Thanks for all the help guys
