Whoopsie!

I love that this is a funny story AND that the boys weren't charged because of the quick action of the parents.  Good story and good ending!

Re: awwwwSNAP!

  • Ha!  I'm curious about the "immediate action" of the parents. . .I almost think mine would have let me be arrested/charged to teach me a lesson!

  • "If your goal is to put someone into the system and not try to correct the behavior, it seems like you are fighting the tide," Dutton told CNN. "The parents were going to do more to change their behavior than a criminal record. Changing behavior and making this a better place is what we're all about."

"We all make mistakes," the sheriff added. "Hopefully they'll use it as a stepping block instead of a stumbling stone, and they'll be better off in life."

Awww, I think I have a crush on that sherriff. And CAN you imagine?! LOL I would have crapped my pants ... and largely because my thinking process was always, "If the cops get involved, my parents find out and then I'm screwed." I was way more afraid of my parents than the police.
