I'm starting to think he's not really a dog and I got tricked into adopting some new hybrid animal.
About 5 minutes ago I gave him a chunk of meatloaf in his dog bowl and he went straight for it. I didn't watch him but assumed he ate it but I just looked over and he's walking around with it in his mouth! He set it down on the floor, licked it, then picked it back up, walked a few feet, put it down, licked it. He did this a bunch of times and then he jumped up onto my bed, put it down, and walked away.
What kind of dog does not chow down when given meatloaf?! He does the same thing with his food. IF he eats it he sort of picks at it throughout the day rather than eating right when he's fed (and he's only fed once a day so it's not like it's always readily available). And good God why put it on my bed?! I just washed my sheets!!!
Re: My Dog is so WEIRD!
HA! Too funny. Over the weekend we hung out with my mom's boyfriend's dogs and one of them kept bring us rocks. She'd pick up a small rock in her mouth, come over to us and drop it at our feet. It was so cute.
My grandma's dog used to take his food into the living room and hide it under the rug to save it for later.
My mom had a basset hound growing up who would eat anything except peas. They would put leftover beef stew in his bowl and he would somehow manage to eat all of it but leave a tiny pile of peas in the bowl.
Dogs are so funny.

My dog put a dead mouse (that he picked up while Matthew was walking him) on my bed once. Meatloaf on the bed doesn't sound so bad
