Anxious for Pics

Has anybody else not gotten any pro pics?

It's been almost 7 weeks and I haven't gotten anything from my photographer. Our contract states 4 - 8 weeks, and I'm sure it's going to be at least 8 weeks. Right now, her blog is more than 3 months behind. There's obviously no way she's going to blog us in the next week, but I really hope she gets us our pictures. I want to get started on albums and get some prints framed before nobody cares anymore.

I got our proofs last week and the photographer finally posted pictures on the blog yesterday. I was impatient too, but it really was worth the wait! And don't worry, people will still care about the pictures when you get them!

Wow do I hear ya!

We were married over 2 months ago ( Big Smile ), and our photog said 9-12 weeks until we get our photos. (We ordered a large 9x9 album and just bought the rights to all the images on a CD). She gave us a password to view some images on her website, a random 60 images- some with eyes closed, some not "classy" as I might like, etc-, out of over 1000 images. I am not too impressed with the ones I have seen, mostly because they are just a random sampling, it's not like she went through and posted the great ones for us to view, you know what I mean?

So yes I do understand what you're going through, and now I guess my idea of sending some pics in the thank you notes is out the window because I should really get started on those this weekend.

I've seen 5 of our photos. 5.

Our contract states that we would have proofs (which I believed meant our proof gallery, but apparently meant teasers) in 3-4 weeks, with all of our photos in an additional 2 weeks. So, by my calculations, Max of 6 weeks, which would have at the latest put us at the 21st of August.

Today, still nothing. I have emailed her, and left her a message (we live 4 hours away, can't just pop in). We are going home next weekend, and if I haven't heard from her yet, I will be showing up unannounced at her office and demanding our photos.

ive gotten 6 picutres. And i got those by begging....wasnt even supposed to get them. our photographers due date is sept 24 but i dont see them meeting that.

It stinks that we are all having so many problems with getting our pics. We were told by August 21st that we would see them. Which, we did... but that was in her studio... on her computer... We have no prints, no thank you cards, no books, nothing. And she didn't return my last call either. It's really starting to depress me. I feel like we're never going to get them. People have even stopped asking to see them.

You are supposed to be able to get on her site and view by event, bet we're not even on there. Sad.

Our contract says 12-15 weeks, but could be longer depending on if we're during the busy season. So I'm going to wait until the 15 weeks are up, then email her and ask if she thinks they might be done soon. I've been getting by on seeing our photos taken by friends and family, but I really want to see those! The photographer is a one-woman business, and she edits every picture (she took over 2,000) before she gives them to us. At least we'll be able to see our video soon (DH's cousin does wedding videos as a side job and this was his gift to us.) I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten pictures yet!
