So even though we ended up having a really good weekend last weekend, I was disapointed that we weren't able to get out of town because of Earl. (I am ALLL about getting out this little town whenever I can...in case you haven't read any of my previous posts about it...I do not like it here)
So guess what we're doing this weekend?? GETTING OUT OF TOWN!! We're actually going on a mini road-trip back to the itsy bitsy little town where he went to university, because it's homecoming weekend. His good friends (actually his old college roommates) are in a band that's getting pretty big around here and they're playing a concert before the football game - so we're going to drive down, go to the concert, and then go to the game. We're not going to spend the night there though, instead we're going to drive to this awesome little spot nearby where there is awesome shopping, and even some amusement parks if it's nice out!!! (This would be Sunday) Wooooooooo You have no idea how excited I am!!!
Re: This weekend's plans
that sounds like a great weekend!!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow HH has class and then works at night. I have some of my mystery shops to do. Sunday we are having friends over for a BBQ.
Sounds awesome!!!
We don't have anything planned as of yet. We're going grocery shopping tonight (how exciting!!!), but that's all we've really set in stone. We're an old boring married couple
This is us to! lol
Tonight is the WV Coal Bowl (WVU vs. Marshal) so BIL and SIL are coming up to watch the game with us on the big screen =] Tomorrow HH is wanting to go fishing, but we're not sure if we'll go or not. I really need to clean the house and go grocery shopping to. Plus tomorrow night is my Uncle's birthday party we're going to. As far as plans for Sunday though, I have no idea.
Tonight we're going to watch a football game-- Matt was an assistant coach for the last two years, but he isn't coaching this year (thank goodness). The school actually just merged with the neighboring district, their former rivals, so it's going to be kind of weird. At least the merged schools had the same initials and the same colors. I bet the stands will be PACKED.
Tomorrow Matt's going golfing with a buddy in the morning and I'm not sure what our plans are for the afternoon. My freaking mother has changed her mind 5 times in the last 3 days about whether or not we should go visit them-- first they're going to be out of town, then she says they'll be home and to come, then they're going to be leaving, and now she says that we should come down. I'm so fed up that I'm thinking about saying no because I don't want to deal with it anymore. We need to clean, anyway.
Sunday we're having people over to watch the Steelers game! Matt has been talking about having people over for football parties for literally YEARS, so it's exciting that we finally have a big enough place to actually do it. I'm making pulled pork sandwiches. Yumm.
Tonight is a night of In & Out burgers drinks and movies just us. Saturday Morning we will get up go to the sports book put in our picks for football and go to breakfast then grocerys, & nails for me. Laying around watching football and reading is what the plan is.
Next week is only a 2 day work week then off to Cali to celebrate my birthday for 5 days ! Gotta love my DH he always makes birthdays so much fun. Going to Knotts Berry Farm and the beach! Hang out with my daughters and enjoy!
Thank goodness you get to get out of town - I know you've been going stir crazy! Sounds like you'll have a lot of fun.
How are negotiations for that trip to Vegas in November going?
I love In & Out Burger!!! I've only had it twice in my life when I have visited California but sweet golly gosh they are good!
HH and I are relaxing at home tonight, I am taking my little sister to a Jonas Brothers concert tomorrow which should be quite the experience. I think this is my payback for making my parents take me to N'SYNC and Backstreet Boys back in the day. Other than that though, nothing special.
HAHA I took my daughters to N'Sync when they were 7 that was a crazy experience! I have never heard so many screaming girls in all of my life! I was never so happy to see a Beer Tent in all the days of my life. It was Pink and N'Sync oh what a night! Got the tickets for free and they were in the 7th row OMG How LOUD!!!
We have a pseudo busy weekend planned. Tonight I'm starting some work for a cake I have on Sunday. Then tomorrow a mani/pedi, more work on the cake (maybe finish it) and then one of my oldest friends is getting married so we will be headed out for her wedding.
Sunday I will finish the cake (if not already done) and deliver it to the birthday party, which we will also be attending. Then DH's best friend is coming over for dinner. We're grilling brats and watching the COWBOYS!!!
That's all.
Tonight: I'm making enchiladas & mexican rice. We're sitting around and probably watching tv or a Netflix movie (Smart People - never seen it) while I do some lesson planning stuff.
Tomorrow: DH's volunteer fire department is having a 50th anniversary party at the station. It's a pig pickin and should be fun! Then I'm babysitting at night.
Sunday: No idea. Probably relaxing/doing school work/cleaning the house
