downtown Minneapolis

My parents are in MN and want to go to down town, but dont know whats there.. Any advice on where to go? They are staying in Wayzetta so is there a bus that will take them there and about how much would it cost for them to take the bus? TIA.

  • What kind of stuff are they looking to do downtown?  Bus service from the 'burbs to downtown run primarily during the commuter hours.  I wouldn't bank too heavily on being able to catch one in their time frame.  They might be better of calling a cab.  I just checked  out the bus schedule from the library in Wayzata to the library in Minneapolis (central locations to both cities) and it is $3 a person one way.  That ride will be just under an hour long.  Much faster to drive!  Here's the website for the bus.

    Uptown is always interesting.  Fun bars, nice shopping, close to the lakes, etc.  Downtown proper has quite an expansive theater district (wicked is running and if they could get rush tickets, I'd say go!!!) and some really great restaurants.
