Since it's Friday, what's everyone doing this weekend?
Tonight - I might get a pedicure. Not sure yet if we have any other plans.
Tomorrow - We have the official 30-day welcome home debreifing. Crowded conference room with at least 150 people who don't want to be there listening to monotone speakers giving powerpoint presentations on things the soldiers should be feeling at this point, and the different support groups to talk to if they are having issues. That's from 8-3. I might find a flask and fill it with something. They are torture to sit through and we have another one next month. After that we have to stop by a retirement party for one of DHs former mentors, then we have dinner for his sister's 30th birthday.
Sunday - as of now we have no plans. I am hoping to get the house cleaned. I forgot how much of a slob DH is. And with his broken leg, its even worse.
Re: Weekend Plans
He's already been home 30 days!?!? Time flies!!
I'm going home this weekend to mom's for a big football game between my college and the big state school in my hometown. Can't wait to see my mom and all of my friends!
Today I'm hoping to get my eyebrows waxed and work on cleaning up the office from projects last weekend.
Tonight/tomorrow my mom is coming into town. Tomorrow is yoga and then condo inspection at 1. I'm hoping I can convince my mom that some shopping at the outlets is in order, but we'll see. I also need to go to target.
Sunday who knows.
Wives Unscripted
Tonight - gym with the trainer
Tomorrow - church
Sunday - church outreach and then maybe date night with the hubs. Really hoping to relax, but I kind of want to paint the kitchen since we are having a couple over on Tuesday and Monday we are going to the gym.
Oh and mix in there lots and lots of school work YAY for the semester starting
Tonight- NOTHING.
Tomorrow - NOTHING!!
Sunday- Maybe apple picking.. than NOTHING!!
Can you tell I am excited to have NOTHING planned. No place to be, no one to talk to.. I love it.
Shelley, I ca't believe it's already been 30 days! That seems way too fast.
Tonight- gym, dinner, and going to see Eat, Pray, Love with my friend Ashlie.
Tomorrow- gym, helping Ashlie & her boyfriend move a load of boxes into their new house, which we helped paint last week. Then lots of little things around our house. I've got some night stands to repaint, so I'm hoping the weather will cooperate with my plans.
Sunday- church, maybe the gym, and studying. Lots of studying.

First of all, Hi ladies... I haven't been around much lately.. Sorry
Tonight, we are doing pretty much nothing.. Thank goodness.. Jack is running everywhere so I am exhausted from chasing him all over..
Tomorrow morning we are going to a 9/11 memorial. I had a few friends who perished at the Trade Center and I try to get to a memorial ceremony if I can.. Our neighborhood park has a gorgeous monument dedicated to the few hundred people from our area that died. They do the moments of silence and read all the names. Its really a hard day for us.
Sunday, church and then we have an appointment at Picture People.. After that we are going to a local street fair.. Hopefully the weather holds out, it may rain
Wow Shelly I can't believe it's been 30 days!!! I am intrigued by the debreifing I suppose it's a good thing they have them because you always hear about PTSD but wow 8-3, that is a little long.
tonight - work out then finish decorating and reorganize some of the Holiday things in storage that are a complete mess.
Sat - house cleaning, yard work, possibly run out and find a new door decoration for autumn (since I painted our door the old one is barely visible), print some vacation pics
Sat night - suppose to got to a Tigers game but it might rain boooooo
Sun - have sister over to work on her 30th b-day invitations and other b-dau decorations
Its hard to believe its been 30 days. It almost feels like he never left. The debreifing is so incredibly boring and the guys find it pointless but its mandatory they be there. Basically they go on for hours saying that if you can't stop drinking, can't control any anger or depression, or beat your wife and kids you need to talk to someone. Also, since the wives were left alone so long it will take time for us to give back some of the housework the guys were doing before they left. Its an adjustment for everyone. Blah, blah, blah.
What makes it even worse is that for a lot of the guys this is their second deployment (this one was so much easier too) and have been through all of this before. That just adds to the torture of the day. I have the option to go but since I am a commander's wife I have to go to make DH look. It's a political thing.
Today - Well, I've got my ortho appointment and then I'm meeting my friends whose wedding I'm "planning" to go look at a couple more venues. I wish that they would just make up their minds already. They don't have a huge budget so this should be easy-ish.
Tomorrow - I really need to spend the day cleaning my house. I LOATHE cleaning. Really, really loathe it. Therefore, I only really do surface cleaning and straightening up. I need to scrub. Uggghhhh, not looking forward to it.
Sunday - I'm trying to talk Drew into going back to the Apple Orchard. When we went last weekend they didn't have apple picking open yet and that really what I wanted to do.

We have a nice memorial park in my home town as well. My area was hit pretty hard by 9/11 since where I am in PA is a huge commuter area to NYC. I knew the family of the pilot on the second plane that hit the towers. I was crying driving into work this morning with the radio honoring those who perished, those who survived, and those who worked the rescue after the attacks. I honestly find this time of the year to be very hard and emotional.
Tonight- we went to dinner as a family. Now I am relaxing.
Tomorrow- Sesame place with Andrew and Xander. I hope the water rides are not too cold, if they are we will see a show or two. Then my parents are going to watch Xander for a little while so Andrew and I can go start Xander's birthday shopping.
Sunday- housework and hopefully some relaxing.
