We just bought a house that has sat empty for a year, and the owners werent verygood at cleaning. The linoelum is a light color. ANy Ideas on how to get it clean?
Re: Cleaning Linoleum
Do you mean real linoleum? Or just your standard sheet vinyl that most people have?
If it's just sheet vinyl, I'd go after it with a scrub brush and some oxyclean. I'm guessing there's some built up grease residue if it's a kitchen. If it's a bathroom, rubbing alcohol can remove hairspray buildup. Get a scrub brush that you can screw a broom handle into.
I would not use any product that is supposed to make it shiny or "glow". I'm not a fan of those anyway, but you don't want to use one until the floor is really clean or you'll seal the dirt in.
