i love fondant. like, it's an unhealthy love.
i'm throwing a surprise bday party for my mom in a few weeks, and i'm in the stages of preparing. i'm having a local nestie make cupcakes for me (follow her blog - it rocks - www.homemadebyholman.com) and i had an etsy seller make cupcake toppers for me - some monogrammed with L's, some with fleur de lis on them and some with crowns.
the first batch of crowns came to me crumbled and the seller was kind enough to remake and resend. i've eaten every. single. crumb. of what was left today. fondant is my best friend. i'm actually sad i don't have more.
Re: confession
Haha! I've never understood the super-hate some people have for fondant. I like the stuff. I wouldn't eat a ton at one sitting, but I don't peel it off either.
That's pretty awesome that the Etsy seller is sending you more toppers!
I don't know if you can believe it, but I've never had fondant. That's right, never. All of the weddings I've been to had buttercream cakes, so I've never had a chance to try it. Looks like I'll have to make a fancy cake on my own sometime just to try it out.
Also, I bookmarked that girls cooking blog and cannot stop reading! I already have a pretty long list of recipes I have to try.
